Density
The maximum density anticipated after long-term settling of dry applications was determined by following specification: ASTM C739: 1.6lb/ft3 (25.6kg/m3) the specified test conditons.

19.16.1 Thermal insulation of the loose-fill type shall be conditioned to the density specified by the insulation manufacturer to obtain a required rated thermal resistance of Rsi 0.56 to 0.678 (R3.2 to R3.85).
19.16.2 Thermal insulation shall be conditioned, if required, by a blowing or vacuum machine before it is placed around the test luminaire. Density shall be verified by placing insulation into a box of known volume and weight, and then weighing the filled box. The difference in weight between the empty and full box, divided by the volume, shall be the insulation density.
